The Role

We are looking for Cash Trainer for the Ukraine Response as part of the Program Management Unit (PMU). The Cash Trainer will build and lead the implementation of:

  1. To train Polish, Romanian, and Moldovan partner of Oxfam and consortia partners to use cash as a modality in a humanitarian context

  2. To encourage partners to use their knowledge and skills to adapt practices so that they are suitable for host and displaced populations while adhering to humanitarian principles, including localization of Protection and CVA SOPs

  3. To promote local leadership in coordination fora

  4. Coordinate within PMU and Consortium Partners on training or other needs of consortium partners

  5. To ensure consistency of standards and implementation of good practices across each country

What we are looking for

Our next Cash Trainer will require:

Reporting relationships – line management, matrix relationships:

  • In collaboration with the CVA and Partnership Coordinator and Protection team adapt, or develop practically oriented training curricula that teach necessary elements of how to use CVA and LHL approaches to reach programmatic objectives. For example, CVA and LHL Toolkit, Cash in Emergencies, cash for protection etc

  • Organize training for local Partner management that outlines benefits and explains the CV

A process and equitable partnership approaches in CVA from a top line perspective.

  • In support of local cash trainers, schedule and organize and CVA trainings in Poland, Romania, and Moldova that are not overburdensome on partner time and are aligned with or support program development and project cycle to the greatest extent possible

  • Ensure that materials are translated and that trainings are in appropriate languages

  • Hold consultations with partners to build on the strengths of partners in advocacy, protection, local knowledge and incorporate into training (for example, partners can suggest how advocacy and influencing might encourage Ministries to adopt more inclusive policies).

  • Support to draft Country level Standard Operating Procedures for CVA with partners to ensure they are suitable for implementation and to adapt in accordance with humanitarian principles and partner experiences.

  • Act as liaison with RUCC consortium partners on training needs for humanitarian cash and local humanitarian leadership.

  • Clearly outline activities of coordination mechanisms in each country and work with partners to identify mechanisms to influence other actors

  • Develop mechanisms to encourage good practice during training and capture during the initial implementation

  • Organize and lead a regional good practice and lessons learned event post training to debrief with partners and so that each can share and connect with like-minded organizations from neighbouring countries

  • Document and ensure translation of all training materials and lessons learned; determine whether training materials are suitable for publication or website that can support future training
