CASH ASSISTANCE TECHNICAL OFFICER

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Cash Assistance Technical Officer is responsible for implementing project activities and to mobilize partners and/or other project stakeholders along implementation.

REPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibility 1: Contribute to the project planning and integrated budget definition & review

Aim: Ensure the mutlipurpose cash assistance program and/or inkind distribution program is implemented on time and within the defined budget

Activities:

  • Participate in the multipurpose cash assistance / in-kind program planning process under the supervision of the Project Manager and to its regular review
  • Produce monthly work plan, and take part in logistical and administrative organization
  • Liaise with logistics and finance department as per the procedures in place to undertake purchase & expenditures as required for activities implementation
  • Report to the Project Manager on activity progression

Responsibility 2: Provides guidance and technical support to the projects’ partners in accordance with the overall technical frameworks and standards

Aim: Ensure quality implementation of the activities

Activities:

  • Provide appropriate technical guidance and support to the project manager and to the partners’ teams
  • Contribute to or leads the necessary technical trainings
  • Work with the partners’ teams on the framework, approach and tools to be used
  • Ensure that the project(s) activities are implemented according to internal quality and technical standards and proposes adjustments or improvements if necessary.
  • Adapt project documentation as required in accordance with global technical norms and standards
  • Contribute to the regular reporting of the technical activities of its perimeter (collection and analysis of data collected) in conjuction with the project team and the MEAL team
  • Ensure the selection of beneficiaries and the distribution of assistance are done according to the agreed modalities, framework and tools

Responsibility 3: Contribute to the development of methodologies and tools for the multipurpose cash and/or in-kind assistance project and to their implementation

Aim: the technical framework for implementing project activities is in place and regularly updated

Activities:

  • Contribute to the identification of the tools needed for implementing the project activities and to their development
  • Participate to lessons learnt analysis and tools adjustment
  • Develop activity sheet including budget for activities
  • Participate to the development of cases study

Responsibility 4: Contribute to project lesson learnt and promotion at national & international level

Aim: Good practices under the project are identified and documented

Activities:

  • Collect data as per the framework defined
  • Input in the identification and analysis of the project good practice
  • Participate to the organization of dissemination workshop

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE will have:

  • Educational background in Economics, Finance, Business management, Social Sciences or similar field or/and equivalent working experience
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years practical experience in the field of cash based interventions and/or in-kind distribution activities in NGOs/INGOs
  • Work in disability sector is an asset
  • Experience with local partners
  • Experience in emergency project

Initial contract will be for a period of 5 months renewable and the position is based in Aswan and Relocation might be possible

Salary range will be within 17267 EGP to 19037 EGP Gross
