About UOSSM DER:

A non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian medical relief organization, licensed in Turkey, that assists refugees affected by humanitarian disasters, living in Turkey and Syria .

The organization was established in Turkey in 2012 and is based in Reyhanli, Hatay.

UOSSM DER is a member organization of the Paris-based International Union of Care and Relief Organizations (UOSSM), which provides humanitarian, medical relief services to people affected by crises in several places around the world. In cooperation with member organizations (UOSSM USA, UOSSM Canada, UOSSM France, UOSSM Britain, UOSSM Germany, UOSSM Netherlands, and UOSSM Switzerland), UOSSM Turkey seeks to mobilize efforts and coordinate projects with a vision of providing independent and impartial humanitarian assistance to those affected by humanitarian disasters.

UOSSM DER provides its services to all refugees regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion or political affiliation. UOSSM DER has been a licensed organization registered in Turkey since 2012 by the Department of Associations, with license number 059-018-31. UOSSM DER works in Four Turkish states (Hatay, Gaziantep, Kilis, Istanbul) and provides specialized services in physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs, as well as mental health and psychosocial support.

Job summary

Through the first interview with the beneficiary, whether inside or outside the center, and taking personal information and the complaint

And assessing the general performance level and then taking the decision to transfer to an existing service or transferring beneficiaries also to receive other services for other partner institutions (legal – livelihoods – housing – basic needs – education

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the team in the centre (psychologist, psychiatrist. Etc) and the humanitarian actors outside the centre to assess the situation of the affected people and assess their needs and connect them with the available services.

2. Provide individual case management for children, women and other vulnerable persons with special needs in accordance with all relevant case management steps, tools and procedures.

3. Secure case management documentation in accordance with all relevant case management steps, tools and procedures

4. Work closely with other organizations and service providers in order to ensure safe through establishment of a service mapping and contribute to establish comprehensive referral pathways between actors in the targeted area.

5. Communicate effectively with specialists and other service providers as part of the individual case management procedure.

6. Identifying environmental barriers to the progress of individuals through interviews, reviewing personnel records, gathering information about their needs and resources, assessing potential problems at work or at home, and linking them to available services.

7. In accordance with best practices and international standards in the response to gender-based violence, the case worker provides direct support to vulnerable women and girls, particularly survivors of gender-based violence. Case management services include needs assessment, development and implementation of an action plan for recovery, appropriate follow-up and case closure where necessary. The case management process should be implemented through an approach that supports survivors. Support the development of age appropriate recreational and educational activities and build skills for women and girls in safe places, in coordination with relevant actors.

8. Other duties specified by the supervisor to enable and development of the program

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • BA in Sociology
  • Communication skills
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional experience in the related field
  • Microsoft office: Intermediate level
  • Arabic language: Native language
  • Turkish Nationality is required
