Terre des hommes Foundation ��� Helping children worldwide (Tdh), is the leading Swiss foundation for children���s aid, with its headquarters in Lausanne, and registered in Iraq with the No 2178598. Tdh aims to create a positive impact on children���s lives in almost 40 countries around the world, through our Health, Access to Justice, Migration and Child Protection transversal programmes.
Tdh started its operations in Iraq in Dec 2014 responding to needs of children and youth between the age group of 9-22 years, affected by the ISIL -driven crisis of 2014-2017. Due to high unmet needs for children, youth, and their families affected by the crisis, Tdh scaled up its interventions to 12 districts within 5 governorates (Anbar, Kirkuk, Ninewa, Baghdad & Salah al-Din), providing assistance in child protection, juvenile justice, education and WASH assistance in emergency.
In the long-term, through its Multi-year Country Strategy 2022 ��� 2024 and its long term Vision for the… Country Programme, Tdh plans to reinforce and expand interventions due to the persistent overwhelming needs of children, youth and families through a NEXUS approach, responding to the protracted humanitarian needs while contributing to achieving durable solutions for the most vulnerable and at-risk population groups in the sectors of Child Protection, Education, WASH and Access to Justice for children, youth and women.
As of December 2021, Tdh with its 120 staff employees, is currently implementing a 7,5 Million CHF emergency, rehabilitation, and development program, across the country through its bases and offices in Baghdad, Ninewa, Salah al-Din and Kirkuk governorates working alongside and in collaboration with local partners and national authorities. The main donors are USG, UNOCHA, ECHO, SDC, GIZ, UNICEF. The main coordination office is in Erbil with a multi-cultural, very experienced, and highly motivated team providing support, technical expertise and ensuring accountability, while working closely with the collaborators in the Regional office in Amman, Jordan and the Head Quarters (HQ) in Lausanne, Switzerland.

General description of the position:
The purpose of the position is to support the most vulnerable and at-risk boys and girls through provision of safe and confidential case management services implemented in accordance with the Inter-agency Case Management Guidelines. The post holder will be in charge of providing high quality case management services in full respect to the key principles of Child Protection Minimum Standards. The job location depends on assignment and might change based on project���s evolving needs.
Responsibilities & Tasks
Case Management
��� Provide individual tailored comprehensive Child Protection Case Management Services to children with or at risk of protection concerns as per the Case Management Standard Operating Procedures.
��� Receive and provide referral services for specialized case management services.
��� Ensure the confidentiality of the information collected during the case management services and input the information on digital platforms.
��� Establish harmonious working environment with wide range of stakeholders more specifically, children, beneficiaries, service providers, community leaders, religious leaders, local government authorities.
��� Raise the profile of case management services in the project area by training volunteers and raising awareness in the community.
��� Support the establishment and strengthen of Community Based Child Protection mechanisms.
��� Make efforts for the sustainability of the Community Based Child Protection Mechanisms by linking them to government structures and long term programs/projects.
��� Conduct and regularly update service mapping and develop a referral pathway, in coordination and as requested by line manager.
��� Work in coordination with other teams to identify child protection concerns and children in need of case management services.
Ensure proper record keeping of cases, ensuring confidentiality, and ensure that data collected is received and recorded by the data management staff in a timely and accurate manner.
Required Competencies: This function requires the mastery of Personal, Social and Leadership Competencies (PSLC), Technical and Methodological Competencies (TMC) and Management and Strategic Competencies (MSC)
��� Language Skills: Fluent in the languages spoken in the assignment location. Knowledge of English is an advantage.
��� Education Degree: University degree in Social Work, Social Studies, Human Rights, or any other related discipline.
��� Work experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of Child Protection / Case Manaegemnt / SGBV / Social work.
��� Knowledge & skills: Good analytical and writing skills.
��� Computer skills: Good knowledge of the MS office software.
��� Other: Knowledge of child protection systems in Federal Iraq/Good capacity building and supervisory skills / Previous experience in child protection case management is highly desirable. Acquaintance with the Child Protection Minumim Standards, good knowledge of the Inter-agency Guidelines for Case Management and Child Protection
