Job Overview/Summary
He/she will involve the assessment of a survival and patients’ needs and the linking of them to the available services and resources. As such, the case manager works as a facilitator rather than a provider of client services. the case manager will follow-up any protection related beneficiaries through refer them to services not available in the project activities.
Responsibilities and tasks for case manager
- Responsibility for supervising and following up on cases that need assistance, direct support, follow-up, or conversion while ensuring that services are provided that meet the needs of each case.
- Planning and organizing information and awareness-raising sessions with project participants and communities about protection, child protection and education specific topics in close collaboration with PSS team members.
- Conducting service mapping to identify the available services and assistance for vulnerable people and keeping updated the service map of the organization on regular basis.
- Prepare case reports and all documents related to the case management file.
- Submitting monthly reports to Line Manager and report any problems in a timely manner.
- Develop plans to manage each detected case to meet the initial assessments and objectives set for each case·
- Contribute to the development of the project’s case management plan.
- Document and retain case management files in accordance with privacy and confidentiality rules and principles.
- Provide referral, support, and counselling services to all persons in need.
- Work to respect the dignity and safety of the beneficiaries of the services.
- Work in accordance with minimum standards in standard operating procedures for protection.
- Do not share any information for survivors with other service providers or other persons to keep the information confidential without the permission of the direct supervisor.
- Attending various meetings, workshops, and conferences and follows up educational meetings to maintain professional development growth.
- Commitment to the Code of Conduct and Humanitarian Principles
Qualifications
- A university degree in psychological guidance, social sciences, humanity, or any other relevant field.
- Minimum of one year of experience in programmes (protection, child protection, gender-based violence, war remnants awareness).
- At least one year’s experience in case management, pathways, and direct and indirect case support mechanisms.
- Experience in community protection and advocacy
- Good experience in writing work reports on the required dates.
- Good experience in management work, planning, organization, and the desire to learn.
- Previous work experience in a civil society organization.
- Experience in home visit rules and sending awareness messages
