In Iraq, HAI provides holistic services focusing on mental health and psychosocial support, legal aid, violence prevention, and social cohesion to diverse vulnerable populations.The Project: Justice for Children and Young People: Promoting diversion, legal, psychosocial and protection of children in contact with the law in Kirkuk is a one-year project funded by UNICEF. This project seeks to ensure that children and young people benefit from a functional and child-friendly system of justice that protects them and their rights and a comprehensive community-based reintegration program that promotes safe and sustainable reintegration through comprehensive social development and economic strengthening services. Project activities will be implemented in Kirkuk governorates including Hawija – Dibbis. The project consists of four interrelated and mutually-reinforcing objectives: (1) Juveniles in conflict with the law across the 12 police stations in Kirkuk and those detained in the Kirkuk detention center have access to comprehensive protection and legal services and have their rights protected in line with international standards during pre and post trial period; (2) Iraqi juvenile justice actors and key stakeholders have increased capacity and coordination to ensure provision of quality child friendly services and to promote the best interests of the child; (3) Promote diversion and alternatives to detention (ATD) for children in conflict with the law (4): Children associated with armed forces and armed groups (CAAFAG) and at-risk children have access to comprehensive community-based prevention and reintegration programs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The case manager will be based In Kirkuk, Iraq with travel within the governorate of Kirkuk frequently. The Case Manager will work under the administrative supervision of the project manager/technical case management in country office and be responsible for providing case management/awareness sessions services for urgent and sensitive cases of Children associated with armed forces and armed groups (CAAFAG) and at-risk children have access to comprehensive community-based prevention and reintegration programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Project implementation support��������� Provide case management services to participants, identifying needs and coordinating referrals based on the participant���������s needs.��������� Develop action plans to address the needs of the participant and follow up on the provision of services.��������� Coordinate with internal and external stakeholder to provide key information necessary to ensure comprehensive services to the participant.��������� Develop and adhere to case management policies and protocols.��������� Maintain timely, confidential case documentation;��������� Participate in the creation of tools, documents, and training materials for use by the social workers.���nary wellbeing with the support of mobile teams.��������� Encourage and contribute to a safe and collaborative working environment where self-care as well as care of colleagues is prioritized.��������� Lead in the preparation of all procurement and administrative documents required for program implementation.��������� Maintain records and proper documentation of children needs and interventions carried out;��������� Report progress of children and make corrective actions when necessary;��������� Mainstream child protection in all activities;��������� Uphold ethical principles in all aspects of work with participants;��������� Establish and maintain a relationship with children that is professional and confidential;��������� Preparing weekly and monthly reports and introducing updates to them.��������� Follow juvenile the released.��������� Universal protection in all activities.��������� Maintain records and documentation appropriate to the needs of juveniles.��������� Conducting an appropriate and effective ntivities in the designated area of responsibilities.��������� Ensure monitoring and evaluation activities and reporting meet HAI���������s standards and are completed on schedule.��������� Adhere to HAI policies, donor agreements, work plans, budgets and procurement plans.��������� Archive all legal cases in individual files, ensuring respect of confidentiality of data per HAI/Donor requirement/Local laws��������� Prepare and send daily/weekly field reports to the CP officer, also raise any concern or rights violation noticed in the area, according to best practices in term of confidentiality and safety of beneficiaries.��������� Perform other duties, as required by the supervisor.2. Staff supervision and mentorship��������� Mentor case worker and social worker ensuring that they achieve their performance objectives and program results��������� Conduct performance reviews for staff; support them to set performance objectives��������� Identify staff needs, including capacity building needs and coordinate close capacity building to the team regarding Child Protection topics (including PFA, PSS, Case Management���������).��������� Lead CP team including day to day management and oversee case management, PSS, outreach work or interventions in the child protection space/juvenile in police stations3. Monitoring and Reporting activities��������� Ensure that all program data is properly and regularly collected, analyzed and reported to Protection Technical Advisor and project���������s team management.��������� Prepare daily/weekly activity plans and reports for case management/child protection activities.��������� Participate in evaluation and project���������s impact assessments.��������� Share the challenges and difficulties that Social worker / Case Worker faced in the field with Essential��������� A bachelor degree in sociology or social work, counseling is required.��������� Minimum five years of relevant work experience in case management, social work.��������� Experience in working in the social sector, particularly with IDPs or refugees, or with programs focused on children, adolescents, or women.��������� Previous experience or understanding of the human rights, social and political environment in Iraq.��������� A strong commitment to human rights, including gender equality and child safeguarding, and to implementation of international human rights law.��������� Ability to reside in Kirkuk and travel within federal Iraq and KRI should the security allow it.Languages��������� Essential ��������� Fluent in Arabic ��������� English.��������� Desirable ��������� Good level of Kurdish (read, write and communicate).Computer Skills:��������� Microsoft Office (e.g. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), and other software applicable to the area of workPersonal Competencies:Collaborative spirit andedge sharing and teamwork; positive attitude and ability to see through challenges to find solutions; and strong interpersonal skills and an ability to clearly communicate, including complex concepts into layperson language.Resilience:This project will address sensitive issues.
