Regional High Jewellery Gemology Advisor

The Regional High Jewellery Gemology Advisor, EMEAR (Europe, Middle East, Russia) is to act as a bridge between Central teams and Markets:
Support central teams to amplify and promote the brand image as King of Jeweler, Jeweler to Kings.
Promote the brand’s unique strengths in design, savoir-faire and craftsmanship in EMEAR
Keep abreast of latest industry happenings and gather insider trade news in EMEAR
Transmit stone message through gemology and jewellery designs between Central and Markets:
give inputs on EMEAR’s preferences on stones, stone types, qualities and design elements and styles to Central Team
advise on price positioning, and customers’ acceptance level of stone prices in EMEAR to central teams
keep abreast of central’s new stone acquisitions and central inventory;
organize information gathered from Central Team and increase Markets’ sales performance through information sharing and training.
Sales support for all type of HE products in boutiques and events

Responsibilities
Building relations through education and sharing
Complement the growth of regional HJ business and existing commercial business by providing.
real time support to EMEAR Markets as a referent point on diamonds, stones, jewellery designs, savoir-faire and craftsmanship in Europe, Middle East and Russia.
Professionally advise clients, sales staffs and Markets on quality, value, investment potentials of stones.
Provide in-depth product training (above and beyond product news) pertaining to stone information to enhance sales associate knowledge.
Facilitate training, education seminars, workshops across EMEAR to enhance stone knowledge (internal).
Formulate, organize and lead entertaining and educational stones experience for clients E.g. experimental workshops / seminars, stones appreciation, collection exhibitions, collector sharing and investment seminars, etc (external).
Sharing market intelligence with central team and markets.
Facilitate Bespoke Orders (special focus on color stones, secondary focus on (4+ct diamonds)
Support market activities during bespoke sales by acting as a reference for Central’s stone inventory, market preference, and client needs.
Increase Markets’ knowledge and confidence in selling bespoke, awareness and presence of Cartier’s bespoke orders.
Acting as a bridge with central teams, advise clients on stones’ authenticity, recutting needs, stones’ beauty and value and assess whether stones are acceptable for Bespoke Orders by Cartier’s standards.
Transmit gemology and stone information

Work in close collaboration with Central team to build a resource library of gemology and stone information as an easy point of access for American clients:
Contact point in EMEAR
Build relationships working collaboratively with central stone experts
Commercial speech suitable for EMEAR
develop and align with central team
On demand, assist clients’ viewing and take part to local or HJ international event.

Required Experience
You have 10 years working experience in a luxury jewelry house or auction house or with a stone dealer. Experience in colored stones and/or jewelry investment analysis and advice preferred.

Qualifications
You are Certified Gemologist (GIA, Gem A or equivalent). Bachelor degree in Arts / Art History / Architecture / Design; Graduate from a fashion / creative school a plus.
You have an Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, details oriented and positive work attitude. You Possess strong passion to further his/her expertise in gemology and crafting arts on a continual basis.
Thorough understanding of cultural differences in European markets, Middle East and Russia and sensibility to appreciate cultural preferences on different designs and stone preference.
