Hello there! If you’re a student (either in high school or college) looking for an easy and valuable volunteer program to participate in and add to your resume, this is the perfect program for you!
First, a little bit about us: CareerVillage is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that crowdsources personalized college and career advice for young people. We focus on impacting underserved youth between the ages of 14-21 who ordinarily don’t have access to a network of adults from whom to seek guidance.
More about the program: We started the Career Readiness Ambassador Program to give students the ability to get more involved with our organization, to bring CareerVillage.org into their communities, and to be a part of the movement that’s leveling the playing field for young people around the world.
Becoming an Ambassador is a volunteer opportunity for dedicated students who want to develop transferable skills, gain professional experience, and gain other perks along the way.
Why you should participate: This is a self-paced online volunteer activity. It is very easy to do between classes or while on a short break. It’s simple, and a great resume booster, especially the longer you’re an ambassador! Most importantly, it’s for a GREAT cause. Students like you have TONS of questions about how to navigate their future, so we’re asking you to be a champion amongst your peers by doing things like spreading the word. Upon successful completion of the three month program, you will receive a LinkedIn job description, certificate of completion, and a letter of recommendation.
