Job Description:

Program Management and Reporting

  • The position is responsible for defining the approach to be implemented to realize the relevant project objectives.
  • The position will be responsible for producing the weekly, monthly, quarterly consolidated Reports.

When required, position is responsible for working with the MEAL Officer, Market Engagement Officer and other Technical Specialists.

Technical Direction & People Management

  • Provide daily career counselling and guidance to the participants in Şanlıurfa.
  • Provide specialized career skill development program to the selected participants in Şanlıurfa.
  • Develop personalized career development plans for selected participants.
  • Follow-up participants career development progress.
  • Compiling and consolidating currently operating career guidance curricula in Türkiye.
  • Working closely with Livelihood Technical Advisor and Market Engagement Officer
  • Investigate possible workforce need/demand with Chamber of Commerce, İŞKUR and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Developing a career guidance framework and curricula in close collaboration with İŞKUR and career guidance stakeholders which includes workshop with relevant stakeholders and participants.

Propose and implement capacity building activities aimed at enhancing skills of participants in delivery of livelihoods activities.

Networking and Liaison

  • Coordinate in strategic networking with (in collaboration with the Projects Manager), the local governmental institutions and other relevant actors in the livelihoods sector with a view to profiling WVS’s work in the sector.
  • Establish mutually beneficial working relationships with strategic partners at the local and area level.
  • Regular coordination with the Projects Manager.

Learning and Innovation

  • Contribute to the livelihood sector specific and/or integrated research, market assessments and learning initiatives with a view to generating lessons and knowledge for program effectiveness.

Responsible for generating innovations by working with the Projects Manager.

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Required Professional Experience

– Minimum 5-7 years of experience in career counselling with reputed institutions

– Demonstrated knowledge and experience in undertaking similar assignments and standardized career guidance expertise

– Understanding of career guidance options, processes, and Şanlıurfa job market context

– Strong understanding of livelihood and job placement methodology for Syrian Refugees and Turkish communities

– Good coordination & networking skills

– Ability to work in and contribute to a collaborative team environment

– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

– Excellent communication, negotiating, and resource management skills

– Detailed orientation

– Ability to work with minimum supervision

– Commitment and ability to inspire others to World Vision Core Values, Vision, and Mission Statement

Required Education, Training, License, Registration, and Certification

– Bachelor’s degree required in Economy/Business Administration/Human Development/Social Science or related field

– Master’s degree is preferable

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

– Coaching and/or monitoring experience and certification

– Experience engaging with private sector companies within the Turkish context

– Experience working with İŞKUR, Chambers, and relevant stakeholders

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

– N/A (Field-based work)

Language Requirements

– Knowledge of Turkish is a must

– Knowledge of Arabic is highly preferred

– Excellent knowledge and communication skills in English are assets
