Trust Housing Association has 2 exciting opportunities for Care at Home Workers (Older People) to join our team working within our Retirement Housing Development at Kirk Loan, Corstorphine. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis.

In return for your enthusiasm and commitment as our Care at Home Worker we will offer you:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £10.02 – £10.25 plus 2.4% pay award pending April 2022
  • Contracted hours of either 13.25 and 16 per week
  • Clients all based within our housing development at Kirk Loan, Corstorphine
  • Paid Professional Membership, including SSSC
  • Paid training and ongoing development including access to an SVQ Qualification
  • Option to pick up extra shifts as working with our bank staff agency

Primarily serving older people in our communities we also provide housing for families and individuals. We have over 3,600 households across the length and breadth of Scotland, from the Highlands and Islands all the way down to the Borders.

What we’re looking for in our Care at Home Worker:

As our Care at Home Worker, you will provide support with daily living tasks for older and vulnerable adults in their own homes, operating between the hours of 8.45am through to 9.15pm seven days a week. The amount of time you would spend with each customer is dependent on their individual needs.

As one of our Home Carers, you’ll drop in on a number of our tenants each day, providing help around the home and providing care needs based on their individual care plans. The duties required are as follows:-

Personal care – help with getting in and out of bed, washing, bathing and dressing.

Overseeing medication –appropriate training will be provided.

Housework – help with tasks around the home, such as laundry, vacuuming or preparing light meals.

Medication – maintain accurate notes and records.

Skills and Experience we’re looking for in our Care at Home Worker:

Previous experience is preferred but not essential as comprehensive training and support will be provided. So, if you’re friendly, approachable and passionate about helping people who need extra support in their own homes, we’d like to hear from you.
