Global Wealth Management Operations provides brokerage, investment and financial services to hundreds of thousands of individual investors. We apply our expertise in serving institutional clients to create new opportunities for people to achieve their personal financial goals. Morgan Stanley has one of the largest retail brokerage networks, with numerous worldwide representatives and retail locations. Our services are tailored to each client’s investment objectives, risk tolerance, and financial needs. Products include mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and alternative investments where appropriate, as well as banking, mortgages, insurance and annuities.

The Clearance and Settlement Team member would be responsible for managing the day-to-day support of the trade lifecycle. This includes the supervision of clearance and settlements across various asset classes and trade matching platforms. The candidate would also be responsible for the supervision of suspense account reconciliation and balancing. This role entails heavy interaction with both internal and external financial advisors, the Core Settlements departments, MSWM trading desks, and external market centers and counterparties.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Series 7 or Series 99, or ability to obtain
  • General knowledge of financial markets and investment products, specifically Trade Clearance and Settlements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt in fast paced environment with focus on innovation and flexibility
  • Efficient time management skills and ability to prioritize competing urgent tasks
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively in a team or independently
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge
  • Demonstrated relationship building skills with stakeholders, peers, and all levels of management
  • Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think and act like an owner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA a plus
