ROLE PURPOSE

The role of the Campaigns Manager is to lead the development and implementation of Save the Children Philippines’ campaign plans and strategies that will engage the public and shift public opinion to 1.) support children’s causes, 2.) to influence government and other institutional policies and practices, and 3.) to achieve positive and lasting changes in the fulfilment of children’s rights.

The Campaigns Manager will drive Save the Children Philippines’ campaigns which include, but is not limited to: 1.) supporting the development of strong relationships with key campaigning partners and coalitions, 2.) actively maintain positive working relationship within and outside Save the Children, 3.) represent the campaign internally and externally, 4.) monitor, evaluate, and translate campaign insights into documented impact of Save the Children’s work for and with children, and 5.) complement/ enhance Save the Children Philippines’ vital functions in programs work, fundraising and business development, humanitarian, people, culture, and organization, and other critical areas.

The Campaigns Manager could also be deployed to field work and/or first phase rapid-onset or slow onset emergencies, on any Save the Children Philippines field offices and impact areas, and/or international assignments, as required.

S/He will be working closely with child safeguarding and child protection colleagues to ensure that all children involved in our ACCM work are protected from potential mental and physical harm, and potential repercussions from their involvement. In most circumstances, the post-holder will also be expected to mentor and/or build the capacity of Save the Children staff, partners, and stakeholders, including children. In this role, the post holder should be able to move projects forward with limited in-country support.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

* Graduate of AB/ BA Communications/ Development Communications, Journalism/ Broadcasting, Literature, Marketing Communications, Anthropology/ Sociology or any related course.
* Excellent writing skills (sample works required) and interpersonal communication skills, both in English and Filipino.
* At least five (5) years experience in leading campaign and advocacy activities in a challenging environment.
* Experience in managing, leading, and engaging people, including talents, and networks in campaigns and advocacy work.
* Ability to lead the content development of campaigns for developmental and emergencies contexts.
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power point
* Knowledgeable in Adobe Office Tools such as Photoshop, In Design, Premiere Pro, etc., as well as other platforms e.g. Canva
* Good interpersonal and conflict management skills with ability to navigate the dynamics of working with networks and coalitions
* Initiative-taking, proactive, inspiring attitude with the ability to manage and prioritise an unpredictable workload and solve problems quickly with limited support.
* Strong influencing and analytical skills.
* Capacity, flexibility, and willingness to accommodate work in challenging and insecure working experiences.
* Highly organized with good attention to detail and developed ability to prioritize and multi task to meet tight deadlines

* Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
* Commitment to the aims and principles of Save the Children – with good understanding of Save the Children’s mandate and child focus, and ability to ensure this continues to underpin our support.
* Willing to travel/ be sent to areas of work for content gathering/ emergency response.

Desirable

* Experience working in humanitarian context and in an international Non-government Organization (NGO).
