Global Witness

Do you have a passion for the environment and human rights – are you looking to display your advocacy skills to prevent the destruction of climate critical forests? Join Global Witness as a Campaigner in our Corporate Accountability team.

About us

Global Witness wants to end environmental and human rights abuses driven by political and corporate elites.

The planet and its residents face a crisis: the climate is being destroyed, and civic freedoms are deteriorating. Rampant abuse of power is pushing the world to breaking point as Governments, and Big Corporations all too often go unchecked in their exploitation of our planet and its people.

For us to succeed, we need to embody the principles we fight for. Global Witness strives for cohesion, solidarity, and inclusion as only together can we protect one another and the planet to build a better and more just future.

About the role

This is an exciting role based in our Brussels office. Over the next year, you will play a key role in our advocacy efforts , developing and delivering Global Witness’ asks on the upcoming EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive.

Ahead of the European elections in 2024, you will also work with colleagues, partners and allies to help shape the political agenda and ensure that it delivers for people and planet.

About you

You’ll be a passionate campaigner and advocate with experience working with others to achieve change. You will be committed to delivering legislative and policy changes in Brussels to address the climate crisis and advance corporate accountability. With experience working in the EU political environment, you also bring a strong understanding of what’s involved in influencing policy actors and decision makers.

You will have an affinity to Global Witness’ values and objectives and be a great team player. The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and partners globally is critical in this role, including working effectively in a coalition, so you must thrive in an environment where you frequently work with others to achieve impact.
