The purpose of the UDOC/Camp Management Project Manager (PM) is to implement the CM/UDOC projects in the West Ukraine Area Office.

Specific responsibilities

  • Undertake annual and monthly planning of project activities and spending according to donor proposals and budgets.
  • Ensure efficient work of project staff by monitoring preparation and implementation of weekly and monthly plans.
  • Review project documentation filled/compiled by field staff, monitoring and giving feedback on the quality of the completed documents, and ensuring that templates/tools are fit for purpose (according to M&E plans and donor requirements).
  • Lead field assessments and contingency planning.
  • Monitor and enhance technical quality of project implementation through regular field visits to supervise staff on-the-job; provide feedback accordingly and, in collaboration with the CM/UDOC Specialist, provide or recommend relevant capacity building of project staff.
  • Provide the Area Programme Manager, Area Manager, and CM/UDOC Specialist with required reports and input for development of CM/UDOC strategy and project proposals, including feedback on successes and challenges.
  • Closely coordinate CM/UDOC response with counterparts from other NRC core competencies (Shelter, WASH, Education, ICLA, Food Security & Livelihoods) to ensure integration of NRC services in targeted areas, and ensure the same of all project staff.
  • Participate in external coordination meetings relating to CM/UDOC, and relevant technical working groups

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience from a senior level project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context
  • Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Technical CC Camp Management/UDOC expertise
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of Ukraine context
  • Knowledge of local languages is an advantage

Access to a Schengen visa is required for positions in Ukraine

What We Offer

  • Duty Station – Lviv, Ukraine
  • Unaccompanied contract
  • Approximately 40% travel
  • Contract length: 6 months with possibility of extension
  • Salary: Grade 8 in NRC’s salary scale. NRC offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including R&R.
