
Fund for Peace
The Fund for Peace, a non-governmental organization based in the United States, is currently accepting applications from senior and mid-level technical experts with experience in environmental and social due diligence as it relates to IFC Performance Standards.
Technical long- and short- term experts with experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:
- IFC Performance Standards
- Security Management Plans & Use of Force
- Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights
- Environmental & Social Due Diligence
- Risk Assessment & Human Rights
General Requirements:
- Advanced degree (Masters or higher) in a relevant field from an accredited university.
- At least five (5) years of experience in relevant professional experience.
- English language proficiency is required; proficiency in a second language, particularly French, Spanish or Arabic, is an advantage.
- Proven expertise in applying IFC Performance Standards and in designing and implementing E&S management systems as well as in performance monitoring and evaluation in conflict-prone settings in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and deployment of specialized training for companies, multilateral organizations, industry associations, private security and public security forces on risk assessment and human rights.
- Expertise in developing tailored programs for the implementation of responsible security based on the Voluntary Principles and IFC Performance Standards.
- Proven experience in developing guidelines, procedures, and implementation tools to manage the roles, relationships and performance of public and private security forces so they conform to IFC Performance Standard 4 and the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
- Expertise in the development and review of security management plans, use of force protocols, etc.
