We are looking for talented C++ developers with specific Qt and QML experience who want to have an impact in the future of the music industry by contributing to the Avid Pro Tools product family and surrounding products and technologies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Solid foundation in computer science and object-oriented programming principles, both in theory and in practice.
- At least intermediate level of proficiency in C++, including familiarity with common libraries and frameworks.
- Experience using the Qt framework.
- Previous experience developing mobile applications.
- Experience using an integrated environment to write, build, and debug software applications.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal English.
- To be successful in this role you must feel comfortable using available resources independently as well as asking colleagues for help when needed.
Desirable Skills And Experience
While not required, we are always looking for engineers with experience in the following areas. Some of these may be expected for higher seniority levels:
- Experience using QML.
- Advanced level of proficiency in C++. Examples: templates, modern C++, parallel programming.
- Ability to design code that is clean, maintainable, reliable, and efficient.
- Experience applying practices to ensure quality such as unit testing and integration testing.
- Experience developing system level software, such as device drivers for macOS or Windows.
- Experience using tools such as code analyzers, sanitizers, and profilers.
- Audio and/or video domain knowledge (digital signal processing, music technology, codecs, broadcast formats, etc.) or previous experience developing audio and/or video application software or devices.
- Experience developing real-time Audio applications.
- Familiarity with Tracktion engine and/or the JUCE framework.
- Familiarity with Git tools and workflows.
- Previous experience working as part of a multi-cultural, distributed team.
