This internship Co-op will be based in Houston, TX. The hours will be 15-20 hours per week and will be flexible depending on the student’s school schedule. You will have exposure and the opportunity to broaden your skills through impactful work, mentored relationships, and will gain real-world exposure to different projects on the Enerflex team.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Vehicle Fleet Operations manager the successful candidate can expect to:
- Provide regional fleet operations support to branches across the US
- Analyze driver analytical data and metrics to prepare reports and presentations for HSE reporting
- Maintain and update asset transfers and vehicle assignments in asset management systems
- Assist with monthly cost tracking reporting for vehicle operations related to repair costs, maintenance, fuel spend, and monthly depreciation for finance reporting
- Develop new processes and procedures to make our operations more efficient
- Create driver qualification files upon onboarding for field employees to remain in compliance with the Federal Motor Safety Carrier Administration regulations
- Assist with new vehicle procurement, licensing, and vehicle registrations
- Develop statistical reports, files, and relevant records related to maintenance, repairs, depreciation, and mileage
- Suggest and Implement Process Improvement
- Communicate with clients and vendors
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
- This position will work in the office 15-20 hours per week during fall/spring.
Qualifications
- Students must be actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s or advanced degree program in a finance or business management discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Sophomore credit equivalency (30-59 hours) with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Strong Aptitude to learn new skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to complete a long-term internship with Enerflex
- This is an on-site role; transportation is the student’s responsibility.
