Location: UK flexible / home working
Contract type: 12 month fixed term contract. 35 hours per week.
Salary: Up to £29,000 + Inner London Weighting if applicable (£3400)

Your work will be crucial in helping the organisation utilise data to make better and faster decisions, increasing the amount and quality of help provided to those most in need.

How you’ll make a difference…**
You’ll be focused on working with the Community Education department, providing them with analysis through the delivery of dashboards, reports a nd stories. You’ll enable their services to be timely, relevant, and cost-effective with their data driven decision making. Community Education develop learner-centric and evidence-based educational products that develop community resilience and people’s skills and confidence to act in a crisis. In the last year, Community Education reached thousands of learners across the UK through delivering face to face and virtual educational workshops, plus reached millions more through an array of other successful digital and hardcopy educational products.

Meet the team…**
The role of Business Intelligence Analyst sits within the Insight and Improvement department; a single ‘go’ to’ place for evidence and insight and support to develop and evaluate services in UK Operations.
Insight and Improvement are responsible for supporting the collection of high-quality data about the UK services we deliver and their impact for service user s, using this data to provide insight and evidence to drive service improvement.

What we are looking for…**
With a natural interest and enthusiasm for the British Red Cross and the causes we are involved in, you should have:

  • An understanding of dashboard design tools (preferably PowerBI but Qlik,Tableau etc are relevant)
  • Demonstrable understanding of data modelling techniques
  • An understanding of the data lifecycle

  • The ability to interpret business requirements and create technical requirements

  • The ability to visualise and manipulate data from a database source

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to a broad range of audiences
