Background

Crest Point for Consultancy and Development, established in 2018, is an independent international company that aims to bring about data-driven, lasting, and sustainable developments for clients, partners, and communities, thus ensuring a more accountable and evidence-based programming. CPCD is currently operating in many countries in the Middle East: Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, and North Africa.

We are a consulting company that provides TPM, Research and Assessment, and Capacity Building Services throughout the MENA region. We have worked/are working with clients such as IOM-UN, DRC, Relief International, CARE, Welthungerhilfe, Médecins du Monde, Oxfam, GOAL International, Expertise France, Solidarités International, GOAL, and Baytna, HI, SCI, Chemonics, amongst many others.

CPCD aims to support its partners to develop their performance, increase their efficiency and enhance their transparency towards their communities and donors. We provide high-quality services with skilled teams who work in complex and conflict environments. These teams help us design and implement services in line with the needs of our partners.

Objective:

In this role, you will work with the Business Development Head, Technical Managing Director, and M&E/Research Projects Manager and will report directly to the BD Head. Therefore, we are looking for a strong candidate with good M&E and business development skills; particularly in regard to proposal writing. In this position, you will be responsible for leading and submitting high-quality bids for different clients including UN agencies, I/NGOs, and other donors and agencies.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research bids or proposals and bids as needed with a focus on UN bids and other agencies or INGOs.
  • Support the BD in preparing and drafting technical proposals for research, external evaluations, endline and baseline assessments, needs assessment, capacity building, and market assessments in addition to others needs in this regard.
  • Work with the BD Head to ensure opportunities are identified, listed, and prepared or worked on
  • Ensure all proposal documents are submitted as needed
  • Ensure effective client communication during proposal development
  • Ensure deadlines are met and respected and ensure proposal trackers are updated
  • Support the M&E and research teams in proofreading documents and translating materials from English into French and vice versa.
  • QA the work of other BD interns and staff as needed
  • Lead submission of proposals as instructed by the BD Head and TMD.
  • Perform other duties arising from the nature of the tasks above based on the development of business and work activities.
  • This job is remote, but as our company is based in the MENA region, it will be preferable if the candidate is located in a country that is situated in a time zone within 3 hours of Turkey time.

Organizational Structure:

You will be reporting to the Business Development Head and the Technical Managing Director and working closely with the TPM unit junior staff.

Candidate profile & qualifications

  1. Have good M&E skills (must)
  2. Have business development experience in preparing bids and tenders for M&E and research opportunities including capacity-building bids (highly preferable)
  3. Have exceptional writing skills (must)
  4. Native / highly proficient English speaker (must)
  5. A relevant university degree (social sciences, M&E, development studies, etc.)
  6. Demonstrate an understanding of the development/ humanitarian sector
  7. Excellent skills with Office package
  8. Good research expertise
  9. Have an ability to manage diverse activities and meet deadlines
  10. Have particularly good organizational skills, analytical skills, and excellent attention to detail
  11. Be able to work in a multi-cultural work environment
