Mencap’s Lifestyles & Work team brings to you an exciting opportunity to be part of their development team. The Business Development Lead (BDL) will help secure income to run employment training and day service provision through competitive tender processes.

The BDL will also take a lead role in development of the promotional element of the programmes, writing content for marketing literature, our website and social media as well as working with our delivery teams to capture case studies and stories.

We’re looking for applicants with experience of writing and winning tenders for employment training programmes. The successful Business Development Lead will have experience and a track record of using tender portals and processes through various platforms, knowledge of ESFA funding would benefit. In addition, we want a strategic thinker who can help form the direction of travel for our income generation plans as well as being able to promote the work of the team to difference audiences.

The Business Development Lead will be a home working role with a requirement to travel a few times per month.
