As a key Business Development Executive within Limelight, you’ll use your proven experience in business acquisition to attract and drive new business into our organisation. Working on all stages of business development – from acquisition through to closure, you will form the critical entry point for clients and will forge longstanding and deep relationships during the engagement.

Having a keen interest in SAP based transformations, you’ll understand the high-level concepts and requirements in delivering a major change programme, ideally with a bit of SAP S/4 knowledge to add greater client value.

You’re an energetic leader, motivator and collaborator, a credible and concise communicator who is an expert at taking clients on a journey from concept through to realisation – leveraging the capabilities of the Limelight teams along the way.

 

What you’ll be doing…

You’ll be working with some of the best individuals around the globe in selling the benefits of an SAP centric business transformation programme. Thriving in a can-do environment, you’ll use your experience in business development alongside proven successful sales structures and methodologies, to delight customers with our offerings, articulating our value proposition in a clear and understandable manner.

Keeping the customer at the centre of our ecosystem, you’ll manage all phases of the business development lifecycle – from lead and initial sale, through to long term account management, expansion, and planning.

You’ll also have a keen eye for opportunities and bring back any thoughts and ideas into our teams for innovative new offerings or marketing opportunities. Innovation and forward thinking are out our core.

 

Experience you will have: –

  • 7-years extensive, proven, successful sales experience following structured sales process methodologies, ideally with a consulting background
  • Experience in selling business transformation-based services – programme leadership, change management, health-checks etc – all with an SAP backbone.
  • Ability to quickly understand customer requirements and bring appropriate Limelight team members together to create a solution for the customer, align relationships at all organisational levels and ultimately win the business.
  • Ability to articulate and present a compelling value proposition via customer meetings and product/service demonstrations, both in-person, and online.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the business hierarchy
  • An ability to lead the sales opportunities from proposal, through negotiations, high level contract development and closure.
  • A strong deep network with existing trusted relationships.
  • The ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships with client’s and business stakeholders

  • A hunger and passion to open doors and chase down new business, not taking ‘no’ for an answer.
  • A desire to push into new territories, expanding offerings and capabilities globally if required.
  • A positive attitude, high motivation/energy levels and a passion for building/growing Limelight with a focus on relationships


Preferred experience

  • In-depth knowledge of SAP solutions and technical acumen, together with an ability to communicate the business value and a compelling value proposition
  • Industry expertise in one or several industry segments

 

Day to day responsibilities

  • Be responsible for new business development (small and large opportunities) and the deal/opportunity pipeline, following up on sales leads as required.
  • Build and develop relationships with the SAP marketplace, spotting opportunities as they arise.
  • Plan and carry responsibility for new work acquisition with a clear understanding of the offerings and USP’s of Limelight
  • Work closely with Limelight business leads to ensure the proposed solution meets the requirements of the client.
  • Work to convince the ‘decision making unit’ in totality – at all levels of the organisation.
  • Create deal sheets for each opportunity – detailing the proposal, its offering, profitability, and likely account projections.
  • Update deal related/contact information into the Limelight CRM, generating management information as required for deal reviews.
  • Participate in pipeline/deal reviews, explaining the deals being proposed to the rest of the Limelight team.
  • Develop ideas and create offers and additional/new value propositions
  • Attend various external events, seminars, trade shows, forums etc that aid business development
  • Be prepared to travel for various sales activities in different locations, potentially overseas
  • Act as a focal point for key clients – build and maintain strong relationships for a longstanding engagement.
  • Identifying and communicate risks, concerns, issues, dependencies, blockers to the rest of the Limelight team as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the wider Limelight organisational goals and programmes
