BACKGROUND: To help us develop our Inclusion Technical Assistance (ITA) activities to promote and improve the inclusion of people with disabilities in services, policies, companies and international cooperation projects, we have an opening for a Business Development and Marketing Officer.

MISSION

As part of a team composed of a manager, a technical accessibility specialist and a digital accessibility intern (with 2 additional positions planned for 2023), you will be in charge of prospecting and promoting HI for ITA opportunities , as well as supporting and training existing HI teams (headquarters and field programmes) in the marketing and commercialisation of ITA services.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Analysing, promoting and prospecting for new ITA opportunities for HI headquarters and field programmes:

  • You will carry out market analyses and benchmarks on growth sectors or technical areas for our ITA services;
  • You will look for, promote and prospect ITA opportunities, and develop a portfolio of potential clients, directly or in support of the teams in charge of HI partnerships.

2. Developing and consolidating ITA marketing and commercialisation tools and processes of ITA services, in liaison with your manager.

3. Training and supporting colleagues in charge of partnerships, operational development and technical quality in the marketing and commercialisation of ITA services:

  • You will identify internal training needs for ITA marketing and/or commercialisation;
  • You will prepare and also conduct training sessions on ITA marketing and/or commercialisation, either remotely or in person,
  • You will offer advices and support on marketing and commercialisation on a case-by-case basis.

4. Responsibility for sales of headquarters ITA services for companies

In collaboration with HI’s inclusive employment experts,

  • You will identify potential multinational clients and then manage all the stages in the sales/commercialisation cycle, from the first contact to closing the contract, including negotiation and client retention;
  • You will handle customer relations with client companies.

PROFILE SOUGHT:

  • You have a diploma in business development and at least 3 years of experience in a marketing and/or commercial position, preferably in the sale of services sector.
  • You are competent in the creation of marketing and commercial tools and enjoy producing written material.
  • Knowledge of international cooperation sector would be an advantage.
  • You have very good interpersonal skills and know how to adapt your content and delivery to your interlocutors (colleagues or clients)
  • You are a team player
  • You are capable of showing initiative
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English and French

WORKPLACE ACCESSIBILITY:

In Lyon, you will work in an open-space office, although private boxes are available for more confidentiality if necessary. The workspace has good natural lighting. Our offices are easily accessible by public transport, with several bus and metro lines close by. Parking is available. The building is equipped with lifts and access ramps.

Should the position be based elsewhere in HI national association (Paris, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, UK, US or Canada), HI will communicate on its workplace accessibility.

  • Permanent contract
