To complement our institutional business in Switzerland, we are looking for an experienced Business Developer (m/f/d) to join our Zurich office.

Your main role will be to strategically enter the institutional investor market and acquire new clients in Switzerland. You will focus specifically on insurance companies, various types of pension funds, corporate clients, single family offices, and supranational organizations.

In addition, you will manage relationships with our existing clients and promote cross-selling and opportunities for new client engagements. In doing so, you will utilize the full range of products and solutions offered by Allianz Global Investors, with a particular emphasis on our Swiss Multi-Asset and global Private Market solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Customer visits and presentations
  • Promote all AllianzGI products and services (equity, fixed income, multi-asset, and private market products, as well as risk overlays; particularly our Swiss multi-asset solutions) as mandates, in the form of mutual funds for institutional investors, or as investment groups within our investment foundation
  • Be responsible for achieving volume and profitability targets, potentially specific to certain products
  • Collaborate closely with the Account Management and Portfolio Management departments, and potentially support investment committee meetings
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies and share responsibility for the strategic expansion of the customer segment
  • Prioritize target customers and create potential analyses for the assigned customers
  • Initiate and develop targeted acquisition and/or support measures for specific customers, independently creating plans for personally managed clients
  • Support the creation of segment-specific marketing plans, measures, and materials
  • Participate in product development processes
  • Be involved in the continuous optimization of sales and support processes within your segment
  • Manage customer data (in AllianzGI internal systems)

What You Bring

  • University degree in economics or a similar qualification
  • Qualifications such as CFA, CIIA/CEFA, DVFA investment analyst, CAIA, possibly CFP are desirable
  • A minimum of 10 years` experience in asset management, along with theoretical and practical knowledge of common investment forms, particularly multi-asset
  • Knowledge of alternative investment products and structured financial instruments, as well as solid knowledge of capital markets and portfolio theory
  • Proficiency in English and (Swiss) German is a must; additional languages, such as French, are a plus
  • Excellent presentation skills for customer meetings as well as for larger events such as asset management conferences, professional meetings, and seminars
  • Strong negotiation skills
