Pictet Trading & Sales (PTS) provides direct access to global markets, offering bespoke trading solutions across a wide range of asset classes. Our team comprises sales traders, IT specialists, strategists, and quantitative analysts, all supported by comprehensive risk and control functions and the latest technology.

PTS is seeking a Business Analyst to join its Finance & Strategy team. In this role, you will be at the heart of PTS’s activities, engaging with all aspects of the trading floor operations. You will also develop and maintain close relationships with professionals working on the trading floor.

Your role

• Proactively challenging existing business practices by developing and maintaining end-user computing tools or applications (e.g. user interfaces, middle and front office tools, allocation tools, reporting interfaces) and collaborating closely with the business.
• Developing and maintaining databases in SQL.
• Compiling and maintaining insightful reporting and analysis proactively.
• Compiling reports and enhancing existing tools and reporting procedures.
• Participating in cross-departmental business or reporting analysis as needed.
• Responding to ad hoc business requests.
• Managing and improving daily publications and reporting processes.
• Developing and maintaining reconciliation processes.

Your profile

• Proven experience of 3 to 5 years in business analysis, or a related role within the banking industry.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Finance, Quantitative Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science (with a strong interest in finance).
• Excellent command of Python, Excel, VBA, and SQL; knowledge of JavaScript is a plus.
• Ability to work independently without supervision, demonstrating entrepreneurial flair.
• Strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Able to perform effectively under stress.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Swiss resident or willingness to relocate.
