This an exciting opportunity to deliver digital communication services and successful digital programmatic integrations in all NRC’s country offices.

What we are looking for

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified Business Analyst with good understanding of Agile methodologies and good at managing product backlogs; knowledge of various prioritization techniques.

What you will do

Some of your specific responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that the key providers of NRC’s digital communication and engagement tools are:
    • tailored and sufficient to the needs of the people NRC is working with
    • providing the channels for their voices to be heard
    • helping NRC deliver assistance efficiently
  • Engage with key field offices globally, service providers and internal integration partners. Work to drive strategic initiatives with these interlocutors while understanding their needs and ensuring that the vulnerable populations we serve are at the center of our communication, work and engagement.
  • Oversee and assist in the implementation of digital engagement to ensure that interactions are well organized, and objectives are clear.
  • Act as a liaison between the Service Providers and the implementing offices to track down issues, answer inquiries, prioritise enhancements and deliver a successful integration.
  • As a digital evangelist, identify opportunities for innovation and engagement with implementing offices and work with the product management team to document and implement these opportunities.
  • Focus on scaling DCH globally in an effective and successful manner.
  • Apply industry expertise with knowledge of NRC’s global strategy, beneficiaries, service providers, issuers, enabling partners, and potential duplication.

What you will bring

  • 3+ years of prior experience as a Business Analyst or a similar role
  • Empathy and patience to understand the concerns raised by country offices and the people we work with
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Good at managing product backlogs; knowledge of various prioritization techniques.
  • Good at stakeholder management
  • Innovation and data-driven decision-making mindset
  • Open to learning new skills: both technical (coding languages, visualisation tools etc.) and non-technical (product management techniques, human centred design etc.)
  • Speaks French, Spanish or Arabic
  • Power BI experience
  • Experience in mobile and digital solutions
  • Prior humanitarian or international development experience

What we offer

  • Duty station: Oslo, Norway; Or any other region where NRC has an office.
  • Contract: national contract, 1 year with the possibility of extension.
  • Salary/benefits: grade 8 on NRC’s regional salary scale, with accompanying terms and conditions.
