Job Purpose

As a Budgeting and Reporting Coordinator, the primary objective is to facilitate and optimize the organization’s financial planning and reporting processes.

he will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and analyzing budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

he role involves collaborating with various departments to gather financial data, preparing comprehensive reports, and offering insights to aid strategic decision-making. The focus will be on maintaining accurate financial records, identifying variances, and implementing corrective measures when necessary. Through his meticulous attention to detail and effective communication, you will contribute to the organization’s financial transparency, efficiency, and the achievement of fiscal objectives.

This role demands a strong understanding of budgeting principles, financial analysis, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Budget Development:

Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets that align with the organization’s strategic plan.

Ensure that budget proposals are realistic, accurate, and in compliance with donor requirements.

Budget Monitoring and Analysis:

Implement systems for monitoring and analyzing budget performance against actual expenditures.

Provide regular reports and analysis to management, highlighting variances and proposing corrective actions.

Financial Planning:

Work closely with program managers to incorporate financial planning into program development and implementation.

Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Grant and Donor Compliance:

Ensure compliance with grant and donor requirements in budgeting and financial reporting.

Collaborate with the fundraising team to align budgets with funding proposals.

Forecasting:

Develop financial forecasts based on historical data and current trends.

Assist in scenario planning and risk assessment.

Financial Reporting:

Reviewing monthly and final financial reports before sending them to donors by reporting staff to ensure that financial reports comply with the standards and regulations of donors and partners.

Preparing and submitting administrative financial reports to the Financial Director for review and sending them by the Financial Director to manage the organization.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement in budgeting and financial management.

Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions.

Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant information for budgeting purposes.

Audit Support:

Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting auditors throughout the process.

Training:

Provide training and support to staff members on financial procedures and policies, promoting a culture of financial responsibility and transparency.

Respect and apply all the PSEA and child protection principles, and show high commitment to report any PSEA & CP action.….

Commitment to implementing the child safeguarding and PSEA policy by considering them when planning and designing activities as well as when receiving complaints or observing issues related to this matter and fulfill their obligation to report it directly via the assigned channels or directly to senior management. Raising awareness to their assigned staff of the child safeguarding and PSEA policy plus reporting mechanisms and how to deal with it.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)

Essential

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proven experience in budgeting, financial planning, and analysis, preferably in an NGO or nonprofit setting.

Three to five years of progressive, relevant experience, preferably in an NGO or nonprofit organization.

Advance level in English and fluent in Arabic

Desirable

Advanced university degree in Finance, or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.

More than 5 years in relevant experience.

Advanced level of both English, and Turkish.
