Boutique Manager (M/F)

Reporting directly to the Managing Director EMEA, you will be the entrepreneur of our boutique in the heart of Geneva creating a luxurious, visually pleasing environment which communicates the uniqueness of Roger Dubuis, coaching and developing our boutique ambassadors to deliver extraordinary service that surpasses client expectations, and thereby achieving sales, profit, and strategic objectives .

We expect you to constantly seek new business opportunities and to make the boutique to come to live also outside of the walls and the opening hours. Being a key ambassador of Roger Dubuis, your main duties will include:

  • Manage and constantly develop our team of highly skilled and passionate brand ambassadors
  • Find creative ways to identify and connect with prospect clients and bring customer loyalty to the next level
  • Ensure impeccable conditions in- and outside of the boutique
  • Take care of the financial reporting & compliance

DETAILED JOB DECRIPTION

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT & BUSINESS DEVLOPMENT

  • Meet and exceed the boutique sales targets in accordance with the brand retail strategy and procedures
  • Regularly analyze the business, propose and implement actions to improve the results
  • Demonstrate leadership and set performance targets& KPIs for the team in a timely manner
  • Development of customer loyalty by way of excellence in service
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to organize and implement in-store and local events with the goal of generating new business opportunities and grow customer base
  • Develop local networking activities to discover new potential clientele & prospecting
  • Contact identified prospects to introduce the brand and collections
  • Together with the Area Sales Manager, responsible for the external relationships on behalf of the boutique and the brand such hotels, embassies, media, celebrities, etc.

BOUTIQUE MANAGEMENT

  • Lead by example with a majority of time spent on the sales floor and achieving boutique target sales and profitability
  • Contribute – personally and via team encouragement – to actively building and maintaining boutique client book, following up leads and keeping existing clients active
  • Ensure maximum client welcoming, handling, and servicing
  • Be the brand ambassador at any given time, with the VIP clients / new customers
  • Ensure impeccable conditions in the boutique and outside by being responsible for the overall appearance and maintenance of the boutique in accordance with the brand guidelines and concept as well as grooming guidelines for the staff – Assist in timely boutique implementation and control of any new visual merchandising concepts
  • Actively ensure the correct application of all store procedures: opening/closing, security, sales and stock
  • Contribute to effective stock management (inventory checks, stock level) according to KPIs
  • Execute monthly, quarterly and yearly stock-take processes
  • Weekly follow up with the Swiss team for stock replenishments and active order requests
  • Ensure maintenance of all boutique timepieces when necessary (changing of straps, polishing, servicing, etc.)
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing operation to define action plans for improvement
  • Approve discounts as per policies
  • Assist in resolving client concerns/disputes/complaints in order to ensure client satisfaction and restore confidence
  • Help ensure that repairs are treated in a timely manner and clients kept informed

PRODUCT & COMPETITIVE KNOWLEDGE

  • Help ensure that all team members have mastered the Roger Dubuis brand and collection stories and share them with clients
  • Contribute to developing sales teams’ knowledge of watchmaking craft and vocabulary, and Roger Dubuis products
  • Help ensure sales team familiarity with key competitor brands and product lines

FINANCIAL CONTROL & REPORTING

  • Respect and follow the procedures with legal, fiscal and customs regulations
  • Ensure cash registry controls
  • Constantly monitor KPIs and define and implement action plans to achieve targets
  • Ensure timely qualitative and quantitative business reports (daily, monthly) to the Brand Director and corporate team
  • Manage the incentive and commission reports to be paid to staff and the tour guides
  • Be familiar with the local market and business environment including competitors’ business activities and luxury market trends

TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Constantly coach sales teams on extraordinary service, selling skills and attitude in order to deliver a shopping experience that surpasses client expectations.
  • Identify high-potential associates and develop them for career evolutions within the brand
  • Ensure performance of all boutique team members
  • Responsible for the training of the new and existing team members
  • Monitor the grooming and service delivery of the team, in line with company policy and boutique guidelines
  • Conduct weekly and monthly team meetings, on the job trainings, appraisals, delegation of tasks, and feedback on expectations
  • Prepare the weekly duty roaster, ensuring fairness in terms of sales opportunities

CUSTOMER & CRM ACTIVITIES

  • Responsible for the service excellency within the boutique and team
  • Ensure attention to the existing clients, recruitment of new VIPs and building a prospect database for the sales and marketing activities
  • Manage the client complaints with care and report any boutique, brand or product related issues immediately to the regional office
  • Follow up and coordinate repairs and after sales related matters
  • Manage the relations with the tour guides and concierges

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • You have a background in luxury retail or high end hospitality and already experience in managing a highly effective and senior team
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and can make things happen
  • You are agile and adaptable in an ever-changing environment
  • You know how to create loyal clients and easily create personal relationships, ideally you have a network of local clients in Geneva/Switzerland already
  • You love creating memorable experiences for customers and are ready to go the extra mile for the client
  • You are an expert communicator and you speak fluent English and French, any other languages are of course a plus
