This well-established biotech are looking for an experienced Bioinformatician to join their ever growing team in Cambridge. This company focus on developing cancer diagnostics to discover cancers earlier and improve treatment options, giving patients better chance of survival.

They are world leaders in cancer research and the technology they have developed is some of the most sensitive in the world. They are now seeking a talented bioinformatician to play a part in the optimisation and streamlining of their analysis pipeline, whilst also contributing to the development of new methods and creation of new products.

This role will involve the analysis of NGS cancer genomics data, biomarker development, algorithm design and optimisation of products / technologies. You will also develop production ready, regulatory complaint code in partnership with the software development team.

Key responsibilities;

• Play a key part in the development of novel methodologies and algorithms for analysing ctDNA.
• Analyse and summaries NGS data sets using existing and customised approaches.
• Work with the tech-dev team to interpret the outcome of proof-of-concept experiments.
• Develop production ready code alongside the software development team.
• Work alongside other departments to develop products.

Ideally you will have:

• PhD in Computational Biology / Bioinformatics or related field.
• Experience conducting NGS data analysis.
• Experience in novel algorithm development.
• Proficiency in programming languages e.g Python or R.
• Experience in Cancer Genomics.
• It is desired that you have experience with variant calling, exome/WGS pipelines or other high throughput genomics workflows.
