Job Summary

This position provides administrative support to Global Health’s subunit Health Strengthening System (HSS)-Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programming, including translation support. Excellent attention to detail is required to identify any errors and verify accuracy on all agreements with internal/external partners.

Essential Job Functions

  • Reviews and processes administrative steps of grants (disbursements, receipts, and other related data tasks).
  • Organizes and maintains accurate, relevant electronic records and files for the units in Mission Central (filing system) in a timely manner.
  • Provides French interpretation and translation for meetings, training, and documents.
  • Provide administrative support (document review, analysis, and preparation, monitoring/tracking, and other data related entries) for different programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Associate Degree or HS diploma with equivalent work experience of 4-6 years.
  • Minimum two (2) years administrative support experience, preferable supporting more than one manager simultaneously. Strong multi-tasker, paying attention to details and prioritizing the workload that comes from multiple people.
  • Able to perform efficiently, professionally, and amicably under stress and deadlines.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills. Strong interpersonal, written and oral communications skills.

Competencies, Job Requirements and Other Specialized Knowledge

  • Provides administrative support to the Global Health Unit with particular focus on HSS and -WASH grants and programming
  • Provides French/English interpretation and translation
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and works with others to ensure deadlines are being met.
  • Ability to take initiative by seeking out new responsibilities, generating new ideas and practicing self-development.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Proficiency with computers and contemporary online applications/software/systems.
  • Ability to understand and respect cultural, religious, and political environments and to use diplomacy when working with staff, partners, and stakeholders. Comfortable working in a faith-based context.

The candidate must be meticulously organized, with excellent attention to detail, and know how to prioritize their work to meet deadlines within each unit. Be able to direct one’s energies towards seeking out responsibilities, take independent action and resolve any challenges that may arise.

Work Hours and Conditions

  • FLSA Status: F/T Non-Exempt
  • Location: Remote
  • Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm (Monday – Friday with flexible start/end time) – Evening and weekend work/meetings as necessary, particularly during peak unit season.
  • Sedentary office/computer/keyboarding/meeting work for extended periods of time
  • Ability to collect, pack, ship, and organize materials that may require light lifting of 5-20 lbs.
