The Merchandising Assistant provides general and administrative support to the Merchandise Planning process by preparing daily & weekly reports, maintaining and building various ad hoc reports, and keeping information organized for the team. He/she will be supporting all merchandise divisions.

  • Generate reports and participate in merchandise planning meetings
  • Update markdown and promotional plans weekly
  • Register weekly promotions and markdowns in merchandising system
  • Proofread promotional materials online and in-store (EN/FR)
  • Provide marketing and PR product information on an ad-hoc basis
  • Prepare weekly reporting/analysis based on planning needs and in support of department requests
  • Create delivery boards by division according to allocation plans
  • Create/review product knowledge decks and facing/layout plans
  • Analyze and breakdown new orders by SKU
  • Support purchase order creation and maintenance
  • Review and translation of EN/FR copy for product tags/accessories

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Passion for fashion and customer service
  • English & French bilingual
  • Have an understanding of the fashion retail business and retail math
  • Diploma in Fashion, Business Administration, Finance or Mathematics preferred
  • 1-2 years of administrative or retail office experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (able to create pivot tables, vlookup formulas)
  • Ability to organize and manipulate data to generate a desired result
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Quick learner and independent with a desire to support team members
