Background

The Bi-lingual Events and Operations Coordinator is an integral part of the larger Mission & Mobilization division, seeking to build a movement of millions in support of CRS’ mission and strategic priorities. This position is part of the Strategy & Operations (S&O) team that is primarily responsible for working across the division to maximize our operational potential to advance our impact. The Strategy and Operations team accomplishes this by enabling the department to establish a clear and aspirational strategy and roadmap for the department’s key initiatives, superior operational standards, clear and streamlined business processes, communications and collaboration, while also providing staff access to appropriate trainings and resources to develop the competencies, skill sets and knowledge to excel in their roles.

Job Summary

The Bi-lingual Events and Operations Coordinator is a non-supervisory, individual contributor role that is pivotal to the successful functioning of the division’s event and operations. This position will assist in the logistics and implementation/production for national events (virtual and in-person) and conferences, event registration, travel and support key divisional operations as needed.

Roles and Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Events specialists to provide logistical support aspects of speaker preparation, including training on Zoom, Teams, access to language options, etc.
  • Collaborate with other CRS staff members to evaluate and implement learnings from orientations, workshops and events
  • Act as first point of contact for all questions, concerns and comments—internal and external—regarding events and logistics
  • Coordinate with simultaneous translator on event preparation, scheduling practice sessions and to ensure translator has all resources needed for each event
  • Coordinate with the knowledge management team to maximize data collection for events, in alignment with event objectives
  • Coordinate all travel logistics for M2 international travel (e.g. delegations, speakers), including but not limited to travel and visa arrangements, immunization records and more
  • Act as first point of contact for international M2 travelers, delegation leaders and participants for immediate, real-time travel needs
  • Maintains and oversees registration for national events and conferences
  • Serves as a bilingual member of the virtual events production team, which includes working some events at night / on weekends (2-4 events per month)
  • Builds and supports events registration processes and coordinates with mobilization and events colleagues
  • Supports event management tasks, including scheduling project meetings and practice sessions, ensuring notes are shared, coordinating timelines, and more
  • Manages S&O Inboxes and communications about events as needed
