Overview: DT Global is seeking a Benefits Specialist to join the Human Resources department. The Benefits Specialist will oversee employee benefits administration for domestic and international staff, including managing the employee benefits enrollment process, ensuring the accuracy of benefits data, and providing guidance on benefits and compliance related questions. The position will report to the Deputy Director of Human Resources.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS and provide vendors with eligibility information
  • Enroll employees with carriers and process life status changes
  • Perform quality checks and audits of benefits-related data
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general benefits questions
  • Assist employees regarding benefits claims issues and plan changes
  • Process and administer all leave of absence requests and disability paperwork, including medical, personal, disability, and FMLA documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable HR and labor laws including FMLA, ADA
  • Serve as a point of contact for benefits administration and enrollment for Home Office and field employees
  • Develop and organiz benefits events and campaigns such as open enrollment, health and wellness fairs, and biometric screenings
  • Respond to 401(k) inquiries from employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manage the annual catch-up contribution enrollment.
  • Coordinate employee leave including New Child Leave, Bereavement Leave, Military Leave, FMLA and STD, and other as necessary
  • Perform payroll/benefit-related invoicing and reconciliations
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of human resources benefits experience
  • A proven track recording of executing HR-related tasks related to benefits administration
  • Knowledge and experience following compliance for various employment laws and benefits policies, such as FMLA, ADA
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and Teams preferred
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
  • High ethical standards and ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two- or four-year degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Experience supporting employees globally, highly preferred
  • Knowledge of personnel and financial systems to include ADP and Costpoint
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems such as Taleo
  • Knowledge of online benefits administration platforms such as Employee Navigator
