Role

The role of the Audio/Video Intern is to provide project assistance and administrative support for the AV department. Their duties include but are not limited to completing necessary tasks for the install team such as deliveries or moving product, assisting Project Management, assisting the engineering department with non-technical tasks, and fulfilling tasks set out by supervisors from multiple divisions. This is an in-person position with normal business hours Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Accurately complete timecard, document activities extensively through time entries, complete and manage one’s expense reports, and various other forms and documents as a regular course of business. All of which must be done daily.
  • Always demonstrate professional etiquette with team members, superiors, and customers
  • Care for company tools, equipment, vehicles, and property and keep in good condition
  • Check out hardware/tools from asset room
  • Perform vehicle maintenance checks and upload service records into asset tracking system
  • Assist with pulling product and staging for install teams
  • Receive and return product to inventory
  • Organize and upload expenses for install teams
  • Track overnight spreadsheet accuracy
  • Assist with delivery/loading/unloading of tools and materials
  • Print project documents
  • Assist with sales design and support tickets as required
  • Log manufacturer information into inventory system
  • Perform / gather room scans for projects
  • Box/unbox product for engineering
  • Print and apply labels to equipment for engineering
  • Maintain engineering product log
  • Complete tasks set out by supervisors for various AV departments
  • Ensure project documents are complete and stored appropriately
  • Travel to job sites as necessary to complete work
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Be enrolled as a current student at Texas A&M University or Blinn College in technical degree program. Must need to complete internship as part of degree program. Must have a valid drivers license and driving record that is acceptable under our companies’ driving policy.

Compensation

Pay is $18/hour.

  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations
  • Must be able to read and effectively interpret business and technical documentation

Physical, Mental And Environmental Requirements

  • Employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit and use hands and fingers.
  • Occassional lifting of 10lbs to 50lbs objects is required.
  • Occassional reaching, grasping and carrying activities also required.
  • Must be able to read color diagrams, wires, and drawings.
  • Must be willing and able to climb ladders.
  • Occassional work with exposure to outside elements, noise, dust, and unconditioned environments.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually light to moderate.
