100% REMOTE POSITION STARTING ASAP**** Title: Financial Reporting Analyst Pay: $42-47/hr. Industry: Financial Services Location: Greater Philadelphia (fully remote!) One of the premier investment banking firms in the world is looking to add a financial reporting analyst to their team who will be responsible for reviewing fund financial reporting deliverables completed by third party service providers to verify accuracy, and assist in resolving issues. You will be joining a financial reporting team of 10+ with flexible leadership at the helm who just recently promoted a member of their team into management. With the recent promotion and an ongoing reporting & analytics tool implementation, the group is stretched thin and could use more expertise on their team! Please see below for a detailed job description:
Review financial statements for low to medium complexity funds for accuracy. Validate results and performs control checks to ensure accurate results from service providers. Assist in resolving data issues or requests for information.
Oversee, analyze, and review third party provider’s financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness. Analyze financial reports, and researches and resolves items that exceed established tolerance levels.
Complete fund financial statements and reports for shareholder and regulatory reporting in accordance with local regulatory reporting requirements. Act as a central point of contact for day to day operations.
Identify and document any areas of control gaps. Recommend improvement measures and assists with the strengthening and maintenance of the internal control framework.
Maintain policies and procedures and identifies opportunities for improvement and makes recommendations for process improvements. Assist in implementing changes.
Develops an understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and ensures compliance. Keep current on global regulatory changes that will affect fund financial statement disclosures, and works with third party service providers and auditors to develop and implement changes.
Facilitate the fund certification process, including scheduling and preparing necessary certification documents. Must Haves:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics
Financial reporting for *mutual funds*
Understanding regulatory requirements, internal controls, and ensuring compliance
Create pivot tables, vlookups, and other complex formulas in Excel Nice-to-Haves:
