ASSOCIATE SPECIALIST, RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT – CORPORATE GIK

Job Summary

The Associate Specialist, Corporate – Gifts in Kind will have demonstrated experience managing pharmaceutical, medical and other gift-in-kind donations, comfort communicating with a range of audiences, the ability to collaborate across a variety of internal teams to ensure regulatory compliance with gift-in-kind donations and cash grants, and the skills to identify funder priorities and adapt her or his approach.

Position will also maintain a dotted line reporting relationship to the GIK Lead, to support internal and external reporting and tracking relating to International Medical Corps robust and growing gift-in-kind program.

SALARY RANGE: Low $60s to Low $70s

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Donor Stewardship and Cultivation
• Collaborate with the senior staff and coordinate with IA and IP colleagues to develop high quality proposals and reports for donors and prospects;
• Develop other communication and outreach materials as needed, including but not limited to drafting email updates, presentations and other donor cultivation materials.

Gift-in-Kind
• Collaborate with senior Resource Development staff to provide administrative support, reporting and analysis to ensure appropriate tracking of gift-in-kind donations
• Manage the pipeline of GIK reporting, ensuring reports are complete and submitted to donors in a timely manner;

Employee Engagement
• Coordinate with private sector and/or other donors to support the development and implementation of employee engagement events.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for and maintain a portfolio of external donors and/or prospects interested in employee engagement events.
• Ensure appropriate management and implementation of employee engagement grants.
• Recommend improvements and/or additions to the portfolio of employee engagement event opportunities.
• Coordinate with ERU, Finance, IA colleagues and other teams to support the accurate and timely distribution of kits and the appropriate tracking.
• Attend events in person as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Typically, a Bachelor’s degree in related area. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
• Typically, 5+ years of relevant and progressive experience in securing donor grants, cash and gift in kind material resources and services.
• Demonstrated success in securing GIK material resources and services revenue from organization and corporations;
• Demonstrated knowledge of GIK material resource and services regulations, requirements, policies and procedures;
• Direct experience with, and knowledge of International Medical Corps and/or other NGO international humanitarian relief-development programs in order to convey GIK material resource and service needs to prospective partner organizations and corporations;
• Understanding of the emerging movement by corporations and their socially conscious employees to engage in social ventures or partnerships utilizing their significant corporate skill sets which will benefit the company and International Medical Corps.
• Strong analytical skills
