Associate Human Resources Manager

• Aston Carter is looking for an Associate Human Resources Manager for our client in Bloomsburg, PA!*
• Job Description:*
• Support management with implementation and communication of HR functional programs (including overseeing talent attraction, engagement and retention efforts; labor relations management; and development of essential training materials)
• Manage the full recruitment cycle of hourly employees, interview, offer, on-boarding
• Post and manage the job bid process for a union manufacturing/distribution facility
• Work with Leaves Management team to coordinate return to work and leave approvals
• Assist successful site operations (including ensuring consistent adherence to compliance requirements, progress on business objectives and process improvement)
• Provide critical counsel to facility leadership to support continuous improvement and development of the workforce
• Work Environment & Schedule:*
• Manufacturing facility. Will share an office with another HR Associate. The office is within the plant.
• Hours
• 6:30am
• 3pm or 7am
• 3:30pm (can be somewhat flexible but prefer someone who can work earlier hours)
• Dress code – business casual, closed toed shoes.
• Skills & Qualifications:*
• A proven HR professional with at least 5 years of HR experience, of which at least two years being in a recruitment role
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with attention to detail, the ability to effectively communicate to a range of constituents and a customer-service mindset
• Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive matters, influence others and provide direction in support of actionable decision making in ambiguous and fluid situations
