Job Description- Associate

Commercial Banking provides the complete product offering of JPMorgan Chase, including lending, treasury services, investment banking and investment management to corporations, financial institutions, municipalities, and not-for-profit entities.

Corporate Client Banking and Specialized Industries (CCBSI) covers private & public companies typically with annual revenue >$500mm. CCBSI provides clients with the full breadth of J.P. Morgan’s products suite including Investment Banking, Treasury Services and Credit.

  • Key technical competencies
    • Supporting the Global Finance team in developing best in class Management & Financial reporting solutions and deploying these practices across CB business segments
    • Expert knowledge in business finance reporting- by product and business segment in banking finance domain
    • To constantly analyze performance and seek, together with the management team, opportunities for business improvements and efficiencies
    • Engage with people – to ensure highest retention levels through performance management, learning & development and career paths. Ensure all critical roles have succession plans in place
  • Key responsibilities
    • Ability to deliver end to end solutions as per agreed strategy with the US leads and drive team to provide well-articulated business insights based on available reports and data
    • Understand business and finance requirements and interpret data to provide meaningful analysis to facilitate business decision-making
    • Generate various insights for senior management to enable decision making, with information on trends, major movements and segmentation report with several other key measures
    • Take responsibility and accountability for robust quality control and standards
    • Provide thought leadership to the team and lead by example by delivering ad-hoc requests quickly and independently
    • Proactive approach to identify and highlight major variances
  • Key skills/ Desirable Characteristics
    • Relevant experience ranging between 6-10 years in FP&A domain
    • Create an environment within the team which fosters knowledge sharing and open forums
    • Develop the soft skills and technical competency of team by putting together personal development plans for all team members
    • Ensure the team is adequately cross-trained and cover is in place for all key functions/businesses/regions
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment while carrying multiple projects at any given time
    • Curious, energetic and highly proactive in nature and always focusing on opportunity arising from situations
    • Prior stakeholder engagement (VP and above) is desirable

Educational Qualifications

    • CA / ICWA / CMA / CPA / MBA Finance from premier institute
    • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
    • In-depth knowledge in Excel and BI reporting tools
