Job Overview:

The Associate Director, People & Culture, Strategy and Delivery is a vital role to ensure the smooth set-up and high-performance of the newly forming People & Culture organization. The Associate Director will be responsible for planning strategic goals and supporting effective delivery against those plans, and developing strategies and processes to effectively prioritize and measure success. The Associate Directors will work closely with the Global Human Resources and Gender, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Units as a thought leader and strategic counselor.

Major Responsibilities:

Strategy

· Develop and implement strategies to ensure the effective set-up and performance of People & Culture team with a focus on effective, coordinated and fulfilled teams.

· Support the anticipation and mitigation of potential challenges to the goals and action plans, and devise strategies and implement plans to avoid these coming to fruition.

· Bring the IRC best practices in People & Culture and act as strategic counselor to COO, CHRO and Chief GEDI Officer

· Implement special projects as needed – these may be cross-functional or specific, short or long term.

Operations

· Project manage complex People and Culture- related initiatives with global, cross-departmental partners and enable the IRC and the People & Culture organization to effectively prioritize across initiatives.

· Collaborate with department focal points to develop systematic, rigorous, data-driven strategic and operational reviews with a focus on learning and prioritization

· Conceptualize and write communications across all the various functions of People & Culture including Human Resources and Gender, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion; internal organization-wide communications; and external communications.

· Establish deep working relationships with colleagues cross-IRC.

Job Requirements:

Work Experience:

· Minimum 6- 8 years in strategic delivery positions in HR, DEI or strategy roles that require substantial cross-departmental collaboration to deliver bold goals.

· Significant experience working with, and influencing, senior colleagues to solve sophisticated challenges and agreed mutually beneficial decisions.

· Proven experience supporting the generation of outcomes from teams, both where there is direct line management responsibility and through influencing.

· Strategy and problem-solving experience accurately diagnosing business challenges, and devising, crafting by-in for, and implementing effective solutions with timely and efficient performance metrics.

· (Desirable) Experience in Human Resources and DEI strategy

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

· Outstanding project and stakeholder management skills with a consistent record delivery high-reaching, complex, and sensitive initiatives on timelines.

· Strong communicator in written and verbal form.

· Highly versatile and flexible, with a high degree of comfort changing and refining priorities and results.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and address multifaceted business needs.

· Experience and comfort with data analysis and budget management
