The Position

Working in the position of Associate Director, Future Economies, you will report to the Director, Future Economies, and work closely with Sector Directors.

As the Associate Director, Future Economies you will:

  • Be a key leader for the delivery of Tetra Tech’s Growth and Transformation Strategy.
  • Support the operationalising of the Future Economies Sectoral Strategy.
  • Be a key contributor to successful business development, project management, technical excellence and organisational and professional development.
  • Manage and engage key internal and external stakeholders, including delivery partners, in opportunities to support the pursuit strategy, bring innovation in program delivery and bring value to clients.
  • Manage and oversee projects and some aspects of large and/or complex projects.
  • Be a key leader in promoting a culture of performance, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • Be engaged in four major areas of work for Tetra Tech International Development.

The Person

Associate Directors are expected to be highly motivated, demonstrate strong self-discipline, and work with minimal supervision.

You will be a collaborative person, who will engage in and support the dynamics of the business through teamwork. The achievement of corporate goals relies on your ability to well-developed stakeholder management skills and focus on creating strong partnerships.

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Well-developed ability to work in multi-disciplinary, cross-cultural, and cross-sectoral team situations with a high proficiency of written, oral and presentation skills.
  • High level of technical skills and knowledge in wide ranging economic sectors.
  • Business development experience, preferably in the international development sector.
  • Proven experience in bid management and pursuit leadership within a professional services environment.
  • Proven experience working with senior officials of governments, international development organisations and the private sector.
  • Strong industry/business knowledge (within Australia and internationally) and understanding of aid priorities and budgets for governments and international financial institutions within the region.
  • Minimum Master’s degree from a recognised tertiary institution in International Development, Economics or Public Policy.
  • Professional body accreditation and commitment to continued learning would be advantageous.
