As an Associate Automation and Integration Engineer, you will be joining the Product Operations team and report to the VP, Product Operations. The Product Operations team works in support of the Product and Design organization, and sits at the intersection between Product, Customer Success and Engineering. The mission of the team is to be a trusted partner, providing process and information in support of bringing a better experience and value to our customers faster.

The Automation & Integration Engineer will be instrumental for the automation of key processes along the product value stream from an idea to ultimately launching a new product in the market. She/he will also be responsible for the integration of critical data along key systems like Aha!, Pendo, Centercode, Jira, Salesforce, Okta, Workday, Collibra Data Intelligence platform.

A day in the life of an Automation and Integration Engineer in Product Operations includes:

  • Collaborating with different stakeholders of the Product Operations team to understand their needs in terms of system integration and business process automation.
  • Building out (data) integrations between different key systems for Product and Engineering like Pendo, Aha!, Centercode, Jira, Slack, Collibra, Salesforce, Gainsight, etc.
  • Automating business processes either in the Collibra workflow engine, via Python scripts, or using a low code automation tool like Workato.
  • Building data pipelines from SaaS applications into the Collibra data lake using either Python or data wrangling tools like TriFacta.
  • Ensuring successful completion of integration and automation projects by delivering documentation, enablement, and transparent communication to your stakeholders.

You Have

  • Good Python scripting knowledge, SQL and relational databases experience
  • Practical knowledge in a CI environment (Github Actions, Circle CI, Jenkins or similar)
  • Basic Docker knowledge
  • Familiarity with workflow automation (Workato, Flowable)
  • Learned about or had firsthand experience in building data pipelines through ETL/ELT tooling (TriFacta)

You Are

  • Familiar with analyzing documentation of different systems like Aha!, Jira, Slack, Pendo, Centercode, or Collibra Data Intelligence platform.
  • Passionate about integration of data flows between systems and you like to analyze the needs and impact of the integration with Collibra software.
  • Motivated to iterate over a solution multiple times in order to meet stakeholder’s expectations and changing needs over time.
  • Familiar with identifying useful data points in complex HTTP API responses.
  • Committed to resolving problems through analyzing and debugging potential bottlenecks or issues in the solution’s workflows and processes.
  • Good communicator in English (both written and verbal).

Reporting to the Collibra’s VP Product Operations, the measure of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will be successfully onboarded in the Product, Design and Engineering team and you will be more familiar with Collibra’s Data Intelligence Cloud platform, its workflow engine, its operating model and its API interface.
  • Within your first three months, you will have written an integration or automated at least one end to end business process, properly documented it, and delivered enablement to stakeholders.
  • Within your first six months, you will have built at least one end-to-end system integration, automated one process, built one data pipeline and learned how to become an expert in tools like Collibra, TriFacta, Workato.
