Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, New Orleans office of our client seeks an associate attorney with some experience. The candidate will assist with workers’ compensation cases under the supervision of a senior attorney with 20+ years of experience. Conduct legal research, prepare and respond to discovery, defend client depositions, prepare and argue dispositive motions, and participate as the second chair at trial. Maintain client files to ensure up-to-date information and documentation is readily available to assess and resolve the claim properly. Identify and adhere to all internal and court-imposed deadlines. Interact with clients to gather facts and documents related to their claims and to give them confidence in representation. Must have successful completion of the Bar exam.Additional Skills: The candidate must have a J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school. Must have effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients. Must have the willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet client needs and grow client base.
