Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, Indianapolis office of our client seeks an associate attorney with 1-5 years of experience in litigation, business, probate, estate, or family law. The candidate will research case law through Lexis Nexis and write Briefs. Negotiate with opposing counsel on behalf of clients. Prepare for and appear in court on behalf of clients. File documents with the courts. Write and negotiate contracts. Should be comfortable navigating the Indiana Rules of Procedure and evidence, attending hearings, and taking depositions. Should be able to manage a docket of cases, effectively and promptly communicate with clients, and be willing to work in a team atmosphere. Primarily be working on general litigation (which includes some family law), estate, trust, guardianship, and probate matters as well. Experience in litigation (general, family, or probate) is preferred. Must be admitted to practice law in Indiana.Additional Skills: The candidate must have excellent written and verbal skills, including strong presentation skills. Must be detail-oriented and considerate of the team. Must be outgoing/Go getter. Must be willing to network.
