Assistant Video Editor – Remote

Mary’s Meals International is recruiting for a talented Assistant Video Editor to support the creation, development and delivery of engaging video content to inspire existing and new audiences. This is a new role in our growing Communications Team and will play a key role in telling the stories of those we serve and growing our movement, to reach the next child waiting for Mary’s Meals.

As Assistant Video Editor, you will report to our Video Producer and will be contributing to a varied mix of video content, you will have the opportunity to get creative, try new approaches and technologies, to engage with our diverse audience base.

Proactive, creative, and motivated by our mission, vision and values, you will bring solid experience of using Adobe Premiere Pro and other relevant Adobe creative suite programmes. Relevant experience of filming, sound editing, and experience of developing content in line with ethical storytelling guidelines, is also desirable. We are a diverse movement and you will have the opportunity to work with the wider Communications Team, colleagues across our global movement and external partners, so the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships is important. You will also be working closely with our Video Producer on larger film projects and will be working to tight deadlines, producing content, or working with partners to ensure project timelines are met.

We are looking for an organised and detail focussed individual with experience of editing and reworking existing footage to create compelling content, with a creative edge. Knowledge of video sharing platforms and emerging technologies would be useful, as would experience of using After Effects and Photoshop.

We have a remote-first approach to work and are happy for you to work remotely and flexibly, in a way that best supports your work life balance, we also have an office near Glasgow city centre for those who live nearby and would like to work from here occasionally or on a regular basis.
