About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Assistant Project Development Manager (ADM) on a permanent full-time position in Blackburn, Melbourne. As an ADM you will be responsible for projects being delivered for Corps, Social Mission and Mission Enterprises.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, Development & Delivery, the purpose of this position is to support the Development and Delivery team through the concept, design, construction and commissioning of building and capital works projects. The role includes the provision of advice and support to key customers and stakeholders on relevant projects, managing the delivery of small-scale projects and assisting in the delivery of larger projects.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Draft Delivery Resource Plan ensuring that resource allocation and management is in line with Project Plan objectives and delivers outcomes within key performance measures
  • Draft building / project briefs to achieve customer’s requirements, commercial constraints and ensure compliance with planning and statutory regulations such as the Building Codes of Australia.
  • Assess project risks and document and manage project risk plans including mitigating and eliminating risk
  • Manage the preparation of tender packages and construction contracts, including the tender, vetting, negotiation, letting and ongoing oversight of the appointment of all contractors and consultants, to minimise delivery risk to TSA, while ensuring TSA customer outcomes are achieved
  • Partner with key stakeholders for the alignment and management of projects within the Development & Delivery Plan in meeting TSA / area needs at both a strategic and operational level

Key Capabilities Include

About You

  • One to two years in an entry level development or delivery role
  • Some experience in managing development capital works projects
  • Some experience in delivering key project commercial and financial deliverables on time and within budget
  • Experience in negotiating contracts, town planning approvals and other commercial agreements
  • Excellent attention to detail and both written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organised and competent manager of external consultants

Requirements Of The Role

  • A degree qualification in Property (Construction, Engineering, Property) or Property related discipline;
  • Skilled in use of MS Project and MS Office
  • A National police check
