ASSISTANT CONTROLLER
Vaco Atlanta has been engaged by a large company in the Buford, GA area in its search for a strong accounting leader. This Assistant Controller role has been designated as a succession planning hire as they strategize on future leadership of this company. The company offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits plan along with a clear path for future career growth.
The Assistant Controller will be responsible for managing and mentoring a large GL accounting team, GAAP compliance financial reporting, month end close, internal controls, driving process improvements, audit support, ad hoc analysis and projects and budget support.
Work environment: hybrid work remote/in office combination.
The ideal candidate will have:
- CPA (required)
- Public Accounting (audit) experience
- 6-10+ years of progressive experience
- Proven ability to manage and develop staff
- Strong systems acumen
- Track record of driving process improvements
- Desire to progress into Controller role of a multi-billion dollar company
- History of job stability and career progression
