CMA Recruitment Group is working exclusively with a well-known, hugely successful company based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, for the recruitment of an Assistant Accountant to join their tenured, fast paced and enthusiastic team for a 12-month period to provide support due to ongoing projects.

Working closely with the Finance Manager, the ideal candidate will be AAT qualified (or equivalent) and will be able to commence employment in the New Year.

What will the role involve?

• Maintaining multiple company bank accounts;
• Review companies cash position;
• Cash flow forecasting;
• Preparation of payments for overseas suppliers;
• Month end reconciliations to Trial Balance for all bank, cash and payment accounts;
• Assist with the supervision of a small team.

Suitable Candidate

• Previous experience of multicurrency and reconciliations;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• The ability to communicate effectively with all members of the business;
• Staff supervision experience ideally although not essential.
