Assistant Accountant

CMA Recruitment Group are partnering with a global manufacturing business based in Portsmouth, Hampshire to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global business and progress your career within finance. The assistant accountant role would suit somebody who has some exposure to transactional finance and management accounts or a recent graduate. The role would come with full CIMA/ACCA study support.

What will the role involve?

• Assist with the production of management accounts including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations;
• Ad hoc analysis as required including elements of variance analysis and cost analysis;
• Manipulations and analysis of large data sets using excel;
• Other ad hoc tasks within finance.

Suitable Candidate

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Excellent IT skills and advanced excel including Pivot tables is essential;
• Previous experience within a large manufacturing business is preferred;
• Ideally actively studying ACCA/CIMA.
