- Be conversant with performance and operational targets for each shift
- Achieve cost and performance requirements
- Ensure a clear operational plan is communicated so that all employees are clear about their expected targets.
- Ensure that the workforce is competent, motivated, engaged and focused and that they perform effectively at all times
- Ensure training and development needs are identified and dealt with effectively
- Establish priorities and communicate them effectively.
- Identify, evaluate, address and communicate, potential problems and risks
- Continuously monitor performance and refresh plans accordingly
- Maintain day to day employee, trade union and customer relationships
- Be visible, available and lead by example.
Skills & Experience
- Successful record of delivering results against service-related KPI’s
- Previous supervisory experience gained within a fast-moving target-driven environment would be advantageous.
- Flexibility regarding shifts – days/Afters/nights including weekend working on rotational shifts, Any 5 over 7 shifts
- PC literate
- Previous experience of working within a unionised environment
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff & management
