Client Exchequer Services have an exciting opportunity in the Client Financial Affairs Team (CFAT) for an Appointee Assistant. CFAT provides an Appointee and Deputyship Service, on behalf of the Executive Director of Adult Social Services, for those service users who have been assessed under the Mental Capacity Act 2005 as unable to manage their own financial affairs.
The job involves managing a caseload of Appointeeship work for clients in residential care. The tasks include:
- dealing with day to day financial transactions of our Appointee service users including applying to the Department of Work and Pensions for entitled benefits
- Distributing and monitoring personal allowance payments
- Monthly reconciliation of client accounts
- Accurately maintaining service user records
- Liaising with Clients, their families and service providers
