Detailed Job Description
The Enerflex internship offers students a paid opportunity to work in an environment that fosters real-life experiences, explores career options, and applies your education. This internship will be based in Houston, TX. You will have exposure and the opportunity to broaden your skills through impactful work, mentored relationships, and will gain real world exposure to different projects on the Enerflex team.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Applications Engineering Manager the successful candidate can expect to:
- Analyze Bid Costing and Process
- Maintain and Update bid database, analyze past opportunities and metrics
- Suggest and Implement Process Improvement
- Communicate with clients and vendors
- Assist Application Engineers with estimating
- Assist with tracking and reporting proposal progress
- Analyze different client requirements and specifications to understand cost impacts
- Review different designs and its cost impact
- Prepare reports/ presentations
Qualifications
- 2nd year of an Engineering degree complete (in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Chemical or equivalent)
- Sophomore credit equivalency (30-59 hours) with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Ability to work independently and with team
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Strong Aptitude to learn new skills
- Proficient with Microsoft office
- Ability to complete a long-term internship with Enerflex
Working Conditions
Fast-paced general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity. Domestic and international travel is possible on occasion.
